AIS Women in Sports

On Wednesday May 8, Ms. Nicole, Mr. Scott & a select few HPE students were invited to the “Change our Game: Women in Sport” forum hosted by the Australian Intercultural Society in Melbourne. The girls had the opportunity to hear from Bridie O'Donnell (Director, Office for Women in Sport and Recreation), Stella Smith (General Manager, Melbourne Victory) & Kirby Bentley (AFLW Player) about the changing landscape of sport for women in Australia. They had the chance to discuss the topics raised further with the speakers themselves after the panel presentation, taking the opportunity to network with leaders in the industry. All the girls were able to gain much out of the opportunity, both from an industry perspective, and from a career development perspective.
